whoah that worked?
Terrible things were happening to my electric kettle, it was all coated with weird white coating that was sloughing off in scales into the water when I tried to pour it to make coffee and it would not scrub out so I set off to find answers. And the answers were, “vinegar.”
I am kind of hesitant in general to put vinegar into a vessel that is going to hold my coffee water but I was desperate so I said, Okay. And put some vinegar into my electric kettle and set it to boil and —
WTF?
The mineral deposits were gone. Like, totally gone. That is just like magic.
Course now I have to boil water a hundred or so times in the electric kettle so that my coffee doesn’t taste like vinegar. But it’s a start, dammit!
