save the beer!
This is wrong but it is funny as hell to me. An Australian was fined for driving with a case of beer seat belted in for safety and a five year old kid unbelted sitting on the floor.
The driver was fined $750 for driving an unregistered uninsured vehicle and for failing to ensure a child was wearing a safety belt.
Wow I wonder what the fine would have been if he had not buckled in the beer?
*say if seat belts and buckling kids in are so important how come school buses have no seat belts?

From what I’ve been told- they’d have doubled the fine.
LOL!
Must have been Crown Lager.
Is Crown Lager the good stuff or the bad stuff?
Crown lager is the stuff they sell at big events, because it’s usually the most expensive local beer and so they get a better return on investment.
But it’s not as nice a beer as VB.
And i can totally see where the guy with the seat belted beer is coming from. I mean, if a slab breaks loose in an accident, it could do some real damage. The kid, on the other hand, would do less damage, and, let’s face it, kids are pretty elastic.
Me, i always put the slab on the floor behind the driver’s seat. That’s the safest position if you’re not using a seat belt.
The boot’s a good place, too. [US: “trunk”]
Hey, he’s Australian. Give him a break.
I love that Australians are so world renowned for heavy partying they get special dispensations for beer behavior.
