i got up early

I got up early today. It was for a parade. Not just any parade. A rodeo parade.

This is totally out of character for me but the parade was going down my street in front of my building and if San Antonio is going to deliver a parade to my front door it would be rude not to at least get out of bed to see it.

The real lure was cows. Okay, longhorns. (Some people get very surly if you call longhorns “cows.”) There were supposed to be cows longhorns in the parade and that is what I showed up for. I got robbed though. I showed up 10 minutes in and the cows longhorns all went down the street in the first 5 minutes. (Damn, those cows longhorns are quick.) According to a neighbor, they were mini cows longhorns. Which I would have been good with. I like mini cows longhorns.

There was a very little girl in a taffeta skirt and cowboy boots who really liked to spin though. She was NOT as cute as mini cows longhorns, but a close second and it was very entertaining watching her parents try to corral her while she just spun. A LOT. She had a very good sense of balance. She never fell once.
