eddie izzard's revenge
I used to play Tetris all the time on Eddie Izzard’s site.
All. The. Time.
I had high score a lot there too (you could look it up if the game was still up on Izzard’s site, player name Cujo). And who knows what kind of havoc people playing that game on Eddie’s site played with the site stats but one day the Tetris game on Eddie’s site was no more and Cujo (aka me) was out in the cold.
Flash forward. I put Dino Run up on the AFW site. I love this game and thought it would be fun to have a copy on site. Hell I like it why not?
But —
Run Dino Run is now the most popular page in visits and search engine hits on the whole AFW site. Seriously, it gets like 20 to 1 (if I am doing the math right) visit hits. Look at those numbers:

Part of me thinks I should go all evil step sister about this and pull Dino in a jealous rage. Dino is not supposed to be the star of AFW!
Part of me thinks it is probably a good thing the site is showing up that many times in search engine hunts because that gives the site presence it might not (definitely would not) have without the game. Not sure it’s the right presence. But it’s presence.
(Screenwriting presence would be better but oh well.)
I alternate between thinking this is hilarious and being disconcerted.
But I like Dino Run. Dammit!
