demon bird from hell
A mockingbird. It is not a pet. It lives outside.
And it sings.
At night.
A LOT.
Anyone see Failure to Launch?
Protected species my ass.

There are these little black birds that fly around Seattle and the suburbs that can mimic sounds.
Last spring there were news reports about them because they could mimic cell phone rings and car alarms.
The photo is perfect!
Kym, isn’t it great? It cracked me up.
Anita, that sure sounds like mocking birds. That is what they do. Mimic. Little rat basta — um, little darlings.
Is he still there? I don’t know if I’ve ever heard a mockingbird.
Oh yes. He is still around. Though oddly quiet tonight. Maybe he found a girlfriend. That would be cool he could stop singing and start… wait, making more little mocking birds? Maybe not such a good plan hmm.
Mocking birds do not really have their own songs they sing all sorts of other songs. I do not know how they learn them since they sing at night and other birds sing in the day but they are like little opera singer birds learning all the songs so they can impress the girls.
I’m so impressed that they can make cell phone noises. I learn new things every day on blogs.
I should play them some Mozart and see if it takes.
